A Little Late... Best and Worst from the VMA's

Yes this post is a little bit late seeing as the VMA's were over a week ago, but the hype about Miley and Robin's performance of We Can't Stop/Blurred Lines/Give It To You has only JUST about died down....! Miley gave a statement today saying that she "wanted to make history" (in the Madonna/Britney kinda way?!) and she "doesn't pay attention to the negative". Fair enough - to get anywhere you've got to be fearless and ignore the haterzzzz.... I am a Miley fan, I like her because she's actually got the courage to be who she wants to be, I do wish that she wouldn't stick her tongue out as much though - but I guess that's probably a phase that will die down soon. If you haven't seen Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke's performance you can watch it here.

Enough of Miley - let's get on to the outfits! The majority of the fashion choices were excellent, but as per, we have the good, the bad, and the hideous (albeit not many hideous, but I bet you can figure out who I mean!). My top six of the night are:

6. Miley Cyrus - sporting a vintage Dolce and Gabanna ensemble that was reminiscent of the 90's, it worked well with her edgy hair-do and tomboy-ish image.

5. Ciara - she wore a Givenchy Haute Couture dress similar to one Beyoncé wore way back when at the Met Gala. This dress looks absolutely stunning on Ciara, and extra kudos to her for daring to wear the same dress as Queen Bey! (I also ADORE Ciara's hair).

4. Ellie Goulding - in a nude Furne One Amato dress embellished with spikes, managed to top a lot of best dressed at the VMA's polls this year. The colour of the dress is perfect for her skin tone and helps to show off her golden locks. Ellie also stated that although the dress looks shockingly uncomfortable to sit down in, it really wasn't that bad.

3. Naya Rivera - well Glee star Naya never fails to look amazing! She has an amazing figure that would look astounding in a bin bag. For the VMA's she chose a stunning vintage Paco Rabanne black floor-length gown featuring cut outs. This girl could make Angelina Jolie jealous.

2. Taylor Swift - the seven time Grammy award winner went for the classic Hollywood glamour look, a never-failing classic, she wore a gorgeous embellished dark blue Herve Leger by Max Azria gown accessoried with Lorraine Schwartz earrings and an Ofira ring.

And the winner is....

1. Selena Gomez!! - former Disney star Selena looked stunning in a rather daring and risqué Atelier Versace gown. She ALWAYS looks stunning and this perfectly tailored dress just adds to her red carpet greatness.
